WHO WE ARE

3 Mile BBQ is an independent barbecue food trailer operating at NEEP Collective in El Paso, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, online ordering, in-person ordering, and catering requests — and what we do with it.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Orders. When you place an order — online, at the kiosk, or at the window — we collect the details needed to prepare and hand off your food: your name, contact information (email or phone), your order contents, pickup details, and payment confirmation.

Fan experiences. Smokehouse Sounds uses a random browser token and a one-way visitor-connection identifier to record reactions and reduce duplicate voting. The browser token stays in local storage for functional vote continuity. Wrap the Wagon collects the public display name, design, and any optional email or phone you submit. Design sharing, future competition contact, email promotions and text promotions each have separate opt-ins. Unapproved designs and private contact details are accessible only to authorized staff; approved designs display a nickname and the submitted artwork, never contact details. There is no active prize competition or automatic marketing campaign in this first phase.

Contact and catering requests. If you send us a message or a catering request, we collect the name, email, phone number, event details, and message you provide.

Payments. Card payments are processed by Square, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. Square handles that data under its own privacy policy, available at square.com/legal/privacy.

We do not collect sensitive categories of personal information beyond what's needed to serve you food and respond to your messages.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the information we collect to prepare and fulfill orders, respond to inquiries, provide order-status updates, coordinate staff, keep business and tax records, review fan designs, administer voluntary public showcases, record optional song reactions, and improve our service. Fan-submitted designs are only shared publicly when the entrant grants separate permission and staff approves the submission. Future competition-contact and marketing preferences are stored separately and do not send messages automatically.

We do not sell personal information. You can decline all optional fan-experience permissions and marketing preferences.

HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION

We share information only as needed to run the business: with Square for payment processing, and with the service providers who host and operate our website and ordering system under confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information when required by law.

COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

Necessary cookies support staff sign-in and ordering. The site stores your accept or reject choice in your browser so it does not ask on every visit. Optional analytics cookies are not currently in use; if we add them, we will honor a rejection of optional cookies. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

DATA RETENTION

We keep order and request records only as long as we need them for operations, accounting, and legal or tax record-keeping, then delete or de-identify them.

YOUR CHOICES

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you — reach us through any contact method on our contact page. Some order records may need to be retained for tax purposes even after a deletion request. If you'd rather we not contact you about a request you sent, just say so and we'll stop.

CHILDREN

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date.
